About this work

The painting unfolds through layers, gestures and moments of hesitation. Paint is added, removed, covered and revealed again until the surface begins to hold something that cannot be planned. I'm drawn to the quiet language of texture, to traces that feel as if they have always been there. The work isn't about depicting something; it's about allowing something to emerge. Over time my paintings have become less about expression and more about discovery. They ask me to slow down, to listen, and to trust the process rather than control it. When a painting finally feels complete, it is rarely because everything has been said. It is because nothing more needs to be added.
